PROTECTION OF MINORS

The age of consent in Switzerland is 16. Sex with minors is illegal if the age difference is more than 3 years!

In case of pornography the Swiss penal law differentiates between hard pornography (Sex with minors, animals, force and human excrements) and soft pornography (Sex and pictures of genitals with an inteded erotic effect).

Hard pornography is in principle forbidden. By the way also the possession and production of pictures showing "wet play" belongs to this category! Pictures of sperm and rigid cocks belong to the soft pornography and must be protected from minors, even if these want to see the things. A bare warning reference is not thus sufficient.

Only pictures that do not show genitals and erotic poses and images with a higher artistic value do not count as pornography.
 

Every user at Zurigay is asked for his true birth date when applying for membership. We consciously renounce of denying membership to people under 18 because we are sure that such a limit would just encurrage minors to enter the community by indicating a wrong age. Rather we mark the profiles of minors well visible for their own protection and deny access to special sexual pages.

All uploaded member pictures are examined by the editorship before they are visible in the profile. Everything that falls under soft porn, is marked and can be watched only by adult Top Members, which proved their age by a credit card payment (credit cards are only issued to adults). In cases of hard pornography the pictures are deleted and if necessary legal steps are introduced.

Since we do not have desire on seizure of computers etc., we judge very strictly during the picture examination, no matter how artistically valuable a naked photo may also be. Normal members (without age verification) therefore only have access to harmless pictures or abstract drawn avatars, which are meant as an artistic cartoon on gay lifestyle and hopefully still are considered G-rated. For the case of wrong picture rating there is a link underneath every profile picture to announce mistakes and to force a new rating.

In a real time chat world and community it's not possible to check all text messages and it would also be a breach of our privacy rules to read your personal messages without a strong suspicion. But if you should know about adult members who obviously try to find sex with minors or about minors who deliberately try to get sex with adults, we would ask you to report it to us using the contact form. The protection of children and young people from abuse is very important to us.
